Studio visit with Jean Larson

Last week I met up with Jean Larson in her Michigan studio, and she gave a quick tour of the paintings for her upcoming Florida solo exhibition. The entire show is comprised of paintings of hummingbirds - spare, delicate, with deep ethereal backgrounds - something Jean loves to paint.

Shortly after this visit, Jean was off to Iceland to meet with the curator of the National Library in Reykjavik, about an exhibition of her photographs of Iceland. Jean has fallen in love with this country and it's having a profound and wonderful affect on her artwork. I'll be posting photos of her paintings of Iceland soon. You can see some of the photographs here.

  1. Hey Wendy,
These works are great. I'm a fan of the artists you represent as well. I'm a native of Tempe myself now in NY. Its great to see awesome work represented in AZ.
